E-mobility training program “Unlocking the potential of the e-mobility sector in Indonesia”

“As a central guiding principle of our e-mobility training, it is our priority to establish e-mobility in Indonesia as part of an integrated sustainable mobility approach,” says Mobility Expert and Head of Mobility at Dornier Group Christoph Gipp | DORNIER.

Adapting the Indonesian mobility situation to overarching goals such as reducing emissions or strengthening environmental and social sustainability is associated with significant investments. Therefore, together with our Indian partner Synergy Consulting, Dornier has developed and implemented an e-mobility training program for the state-owned Indonesian infrastructure financing company PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (PTSMI) as part of a project funded by the European Union through KfW. The focus is mainly on creating an integrative overall approach to promote sustainable development and combating climate change comprehensively.

“Using South and Southeast Asian case studies from Indonesia, Singapore, India, and Thailand, the e-mobility training discusses interactive opportunities to support sustainable transport projects through tailored financing instruments,” says Julia Patzwaldt, Julia, Project Director and Senior Expert for Development Finance Solutions at Dornier Group. Investments in the development of new public transport systems such as electric buses or the expansion of rail transport offerings should be accelerated. The use of electromobility technologies in individual mobility and freight transport is also being discussed.

We are very excited to support Indonesia in expanding their e-mobility and are looking forward to the further progress of the project.
