LEAG (Vattenfall) operates several power plants in the Lusatia region. The transformers available at the sites are analyzed for their condition and further fitness for operation, by evaluating various data. The aim is to evaluate each transformer (e.g. using oil analysis or online monitoring systems) and to compare it with transformers at other LEAG sites in order to detect abnormalities and initiate appropriate measures before damage occurs. This will also enable a holistic planning of further inspection measures and spare parts procurement.
Dornier Power and Heat’s scope of work includes the creation and continuous maintenance of a transformer database. In addition, a subject-specific evaluation and regular assessment is carried out and presented to the operator.
