Evaluation of transformers

LEAG (formerly Vattenfall) operates several power plants in Lusatia. The transformers at these sites are analysed for condition and further operational suitability by evaluating various data. The aim is to evaluate (e.g. by means of oil analysis or online monitoring systems) the individual transformers and compare them with transformers at other LEAG sites in order to detect any abnormalities and take appropriate measures before damage occurs. This also allows for comprehensive planning of further inspections and spare parts.

The scope of Dornier Power and Heat’s contract includes the creation and continuous maintenance of a transformer database. In addition, a technical evaluation and regular assessment is carried out for the operator.

Our services at a glance:

  • Creation or expansion of the transformer database for relevant transformers (EB, FN and machine transformers)
  • Entry of existing data records from previous operating periods
Entering the reserve strategy and revision cycles of the operator
  • Continuous maintenance of the data recorded by the operator and transferred to Dornier Power and Heat
  • Regular evaluation of the data (comparison with standards, national and international expert systems, type-specific limit values, comparisons with other locations, comparisons with previous operating behaviour in the past)
  • Preparation of a meaningful report, including recommendations for measures, preparation of schedules for measures – scope, deadlines, etc.
