The company was formed in summer 2010 from the merger of the StadtwerkeChemnitz municipal utility and ErdgasSüdsachsenGmbH and supplies around 400,000 household and commercial customers in and around the city of Chemnitz with natural gas, electricity, heating, cooling and water as well as energy-related services. Dornier Power and Heat provided services at the Chemnitz-Nord Power Plant site. These included, for example, the revision of operating procedures and company standards for the disciplines of process engineering, mechanical engineering, civil construction, electrical and I&C engineering as well as the preparation of piping and instrumentation diagrams (PIDs), operational support for supply and disposal, and support for the implementation of the “Hg separation” project.
