MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg, based in Ludwigsfelde, Germany, specializes in aircraft engines for the lower to medium thrust and power ranges and in industrial gas turbines. The Ludwigsfeldefactory site has one of the world’s largest and most modern test rigs for industrial gas turbines. In turbine testing, on completion of the inspection/overhaul a generator is used as a load element in order to be able to finally check the turbine for faultless functioning.

The scope of the contract included the project and site management, as well as testing of the secondary protection systems with own testing devices and the quality assurance for the tests planned on the generator installed at the site.
