UN SDG Goal 6
In the first week, we want to focus on the sixth goal of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) “Clean water and sanitation”.
But what is actually behind it? The goal deals with the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation. Some of the sub-goals are as follows:
1. Access to safe drinking water for all
2. Improved water quality and wastewater treatment
3. Sustainable management of water resources
Clean water and sanitation are fundamental to health and well-being as well as to sustainable development at a global level. They also have an impact on the achievement of other SDGs such as the promotion of health, education and environmental protection.
