Dornier Suntrace was mandated as project finance advisor in support of the structuring of financing for up to 550MW utility scale wind energy project(s) in Colombia for Enercon GmbH. Dornier Suntrace conducted the sound ingof financing options and suggested possible sourcing alternatives, local funding from commercial banks, ECA coverage on EPC-related loans, bi- and multilateral banks(e.g., IDB, CAF, ColombianBanks, but also KFW, World Bank – IFC and others). Basedon the results, Dornier Suntrace developed alternative financial structuring scenarios and evaluated these with a financial model in order to elaborate an optimum solution. Afterwards Dornier Suntrace optimized scenarios according to financing options help evaluating their effect on key financial and economic performance indicators of the project.
