Wolfgang Apelt is Project Manager in the Power and Heat business unit and an expert in project management.
Mr. Apelt heads project teams in the energy and environment sector. He is also a consultant and supervising engineer in IFI-funded projects as well as in project and site management for EPC and lot-based projects. His main focus includes the technical evaluation of power plant facilities and the implementation of rehabilitation measures at home and abroad. He is responsible for the site management and commissioning coordination in complex projects, and also conducts related on-site training and instruction for the customer’s staff. His customer base includes industrial companies, municipal utilities, technical organizations and banks.
Mr. Apelt graduated with an engineering degree (Dipl.-Ing.) from the MPEI in Moscow and subsequently worked in various roles, among them as unit manager of a 500 MW lignite-fired unit at Jänschwalde power plant. He is fluent in English and Russian.
