Christian Becher is Project Engineer in the Power and Heat business unit and an expert in maintenance projects.
Mr. Becher has extensive experience in the maintenance of power plants. His tasks include planning, preparation and management of maintenance work. Our customers benefit from his expertise in the preparation of schedules of works and order specifications, in cost planning and time scheduling, and in the monitoring of compliance with specifications, budgets and schedules. His tasks include coordinating all parties involved in the project and acting as site manager. His areas of expertise cover inspection planning and implementation as well as planning and coordination, including monitoring of deadlines, of service life monitoring for plant components subject to official inspection (boiler components and steam lines). His main focus is on measures relating to boilers and on life time extension (LTE) measures. His customer base mainly comprises energy sector companies and power plant operators.
From 2016 to 2021, Mr. Becher worked as a project engineer in the “Retrofit Hamburg West” project at the Wedel CHP plant. He was entrusted with the planning and the coordination and monitoring of measures to extend the service life of components of the boiler plant in the Wedel CHP plant.
Mr. Becher studied at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, graduating with a degree (Dipl.-Ing.) in mechanical engineering, specializing in production technology. Before joining Dornier Group in 2008, Mr. Becher worked as an engineer at DIS AG. This included sub-tasks as a commissioning engineer at Alstom, project engineer at AREVA NP and commissioning engineer at Siemens AG PG.
