Christin Weniger has graduated as Master of Science in chemical engineering at the University Mannheim, her expertise in the field of radiation protection, ventilation technology and fire protection in nuclear facilities makes her one of our experts.
Christin’s career path began as authorized expert for ventilation technology and fire protection in nuclear facilities for the TÜV SÜD Energietechnik GmbH Baden-Württemberg. In this part of her career, one major aspect of her duties was the assessment of the decommissioning and dismantling permission for the nuclear power plant KKP 2, as well as the implementation of the central waste treatment facility and waste storage in Philippsburg. Christin had also part in planning the dismantling of certain nuclear research facilities in Gemany.
Since June 2020 Christin is appointed deputy head of the department of radiation protection at the nuclear power plant Stade. As such she is responsible for the implementation and evaluation of the rules and standards in radiation protection for the ongoing process of dismantling the KKS. This process includes the compilation of instructions and documentation.
Her wide range of knowledge, skills and experience allow(s) her an integrated perspective on the needs and demands in a deconstruction project, therefor to coordinate the different trades efficient.
