Holger Witing is a graduate engineer and has been involved with the upgrading and, in particular, the dismantling of nuclear facilities throughout his professional career. His professional background ranges from engineering and turnkey construction of complex waste treatment plants to the preparation of specific documents for the release of buildings of a nuclear power plant. Holger Witting’s extensive experience in both national and international projects is a solid basis for the successful completion of projects. In addition, he deepened his expertise in his work as a radiation protection officer.
Since 2019, Holger Witing has been working for Dornier Group in Dresden on project management in Nuclear Services. Most recently, he demonstrated his skills and expertise in 2019 and 2020 when he was responsible for the development and practical implementation of a viable concept for the handover of buildings in the Stade nuclear power plant. The overall situation of the nuclear industry in Germany holds out the prospect of further exciting challenges in the dismantling of nuclear facilities with their historically grown, specific characteristics at the different locations. Previously, Holger Witing used his expertise at NUKEM GmbH for many years in major international projects in the field of residues treatment. He studied operation and construction of nuclear power plants at the Moscow Energy University.
