Kai Karger is Project Engineer in the Power and Heat business unit and an expert in pumps, compressors and heat pumps.
Mr. Karger has extensive experience in process engineering design services, from concept studies through to detail engineering. His areas of focus include the concept design, bid specifications, tendering and QA support for mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors and blowers. He has been involved in many owner’s engineer projects with verification of the contractual compliance of the supplier’s detail engineering. His expertise also includes the fields of compressed air, auxiliary steam generators, heat pumps (compression, absorption) and electrode boilers. His customer base chiefly comprises power plant operators, municipal utilities and electric power utilities.
From 2020 to 2021, Mr. Karger was involved in the project dealing with the installation of electrode boilers for auxiliary steam generation and flexibilization of the mode of operation of the existing system. His activities included supporting the client and reviewing the detailed design (process engineering, mechanical engineering, plant engineering).
Mr. Karger studied at Brandenburg University of Technology in Cottbus, graduating with a degree in engineering (Dipl.-Ing.).
