Mr. Granados has extensive experience in technical consulting regarding resource measurement campaigns, site characterization and project management of renewable energy projects with a focus on solar PV. He is an experienced senior project engineer and project manager, particularly in the fields of project development, resource planning and characterization of sites for renewable energy projects. He is a proficient user of design, planning and modeling software and a proactive and independent problem solver with multicultural communication skills and broad leadership abilities. His client base mainly includes RE project developers, IPPs, EPC-Ms, industrial companies, development aid organizations and government companies.
In 2019, Mr. Granados was involved in the project “Verification of solar and wind detection stations” as Consultant, Quality Manager and Solar Measurement Expert. Since 2020, he has been entrusted with the project “Power Sector Reform Program – PV1 floating solar photovoltaic (PV) auction advisory service (ADB | VN)” in the role of technical project manager. In the project “AVUSPro Automated Insitu Measurement of Soiling Rates and Spectra (Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH, Fraunhofer ISE, TSK Flagsol | DE, KW, MA)” he serves as project manager.
Mr. Granados is a speaker at conferences and workshops for solar energy engineering, wind and solar metrology. He is also supervising a master’s thesis on “Cloud Height Estimation through Combination of Cloud Motion Vectors from Cloud Camera and Radiation Measurements” at the University of Oldenburg and lectures (in architecture and civil engineering programs) on electrical installations, drawing for civil engineering, geographic information systems, statics and material mechanics.
Mr. Granados graduated from the Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg with a M.Sc. in Renewable Energies. He then studied at the Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana, where he earned his MBA and Eng. Civil Engineering. After his studies, Mr. Granados worked in construction management and international sales at bwe Energiesysteme GmbH & Co. KG and as academic coordinator and university lecturer at UNITEC [HND].
