Tobias Schumann is Consultant in the Mobility business unit and expert for innovative vehicle concepts and transport systems.
Mr. Schumann has extensive experience in providing consulting services at the interface between technological innovation, mobility and strategic planning. He is an expert in planning and organization related to innovations in the mobility sector, especially intelligent, automated and track-based systems in passenger and freight transport. His customer base mainly includes industrial companies and government agencies in Europe and the Middle East.
In 2018, Mr. Schumann was involved in a project dealing with “Autonomous Driving Pilot Projects” for a major German city, where he was responsible for the development of pilot projects for autonomous driving systems in the fields of public transport and freight transport, including analysis of international research projects, workshops with stakeholders from industry and academia, and preparation of funding proposals.
In 2016, Mr. Schumann published a study for Dornier on the topic of “Autonomous driving – expectations for the mobility of the future”.
Mr. Schumann graduated from Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich with an M.Sc. Business Administration, with a focus on Strategy & Innovation Management. At the University of Tübingen, he earned his B.Sc. International Economics & Middle Eastern Studies. Furthermore, he studied at the American University Washington, DC, and at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
