The aim of the project is to support the Government of Bangladesh (GOB) adding  renewable energy generation capacity of 2,000 MW by 2020. ?Suntraceis therefore supporting the SREP project activity to support country level renewable energy resource assessment and mapping, focusing on solar and wind, with technical and financial support from World Bank-executed trust funds. The activity will leverage the national solar measurement campaign being planned under SREP, along with wind measurement data being funded by USAID.
