Overview
Customer
Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation, Qatar
Location
Qatar Doha
Duration
2013 – 2018
The project will strengthen Qatar’s emergency water supply capabilities by rehabilitating 12 abandoned well fields. The brackish groundwater from the sites will be treated with mobile desalination units which can be deployed to any of the well field sites as needed.
The project identified well fields based on hydrogeological and geographical criteria which can produce reasonable volumes of groundwater for emergency water supply. Mobile R/O units can be deployed and connected to any of the well fields within a short mobilization period.
