thyssenkruppSteel Europe AG operates the gas-fired power plant “Hermann Wenzel” at the Ruhrortlocation, with a total of four units with different steam generating capacity.

Due to future legal requirements, Unit IV will now be retrofitted for low-NOx operation.

The nitrogen oxide removal efficiency achieved by the SCR system will ensure that the con-centrationof NOx in the cleaned gas will safely stay below a daily average value of 100 mg/Nm³ at 3% O2in the dry flue gas.

Dornier Construction and Service engineers, controls and monitors delivery, field erection and commissioning of all equipment necessary for achieving the required NOX values of the boiler system.
