The project aimed at developing efficient emergency water supply concepts for the entire Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Therefore, three distinct water emergency scenarios served as design criteria. Those scenarios adopt the following cases: A complete breakdown of drinking water production, a full shut down of the desalination plants and the availability of at least 25 % of the overall production capacity.
