The project includes planning and drilling of 70 groundwater monitoring wells all over Dubai Emirate including Hatta. The wells shall penetrate the upper aquifer to establish baseline data on the (hydro)geology of the study area. Groundwater samples will be collected from all wells for comprehensive chemical analyses. Part of the wells will be built as dual purpose wells for permanent monitoring of water levels & salinity and for collection of groundwater samples. A telemetric monitoring system will be installed in the next project phase.
