The bastion walls and the ascent to Hohenzollern Castle showed considerable damage, necessitating extensive repair measures in the medium term. The project began with intensive preliminary investigations into the structural condition of the castle. The services performed focused on repairing existing structures and carrying out structural safety measures, for example repairing damaged parapet stones and building stone elements as well as improving bridges.
