The rapid growth of Riyadh city in the form of massive urban expansion and high density land use developments has led to an enormous growth in traffic. To provide solutions to the growing traffic problems, a series of urban transport infrastructure projects are being planned and implemented.
Riyadh Development Authority (RDA) has contracted DCI to update and validate the urban transport forecast model for the city of Riyadh, and support the city in the development of efficient land use scenarios. This transport forecast model considers all future urban developments and the accommodation of the worldwide biggest public transport project in the city. The project also includes a significant institutional strengthening and capacity building of RDA staff.
