Overview
Customer
Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Georgia
Location
Georgia Tiflis
Duration
2016 ? 2017
The Government’s interest in developing logistics centers stems mainly from a desire to establish Georgia as a regional transport and logistics hub, and translate that into jobs for Georgian people, profits for Georgian businesses and tax revenues for itself.
The project aims at developing efficient, strategically located LCs, well-connected by road and rail to neighboring countries and to all parts of Georgia. The intention is that each LC would attract a synergistic cluster of logistics service providers and auxiliary services, offering Georgian producers and consumers more efficient and lower-cost logistics solutions than are currently available.
