Dornier was commissioned to carry out a feasibility study on the electrification. The main objective of the feasibility study was to create an economic baseline scenario for the intended electrification of Line No. 1 for a maximum train speed of 200 km/h.
Dornier examined the existing Main Line No. 1 with regard to all technical requirements for electrification. In addition, a second scenario was prepared for a high-speed line with a speed of up to 350 km/h.
