Riyadh Development Authority has contracted an American supplier to design and implement advanced traffic control signals in Riyadh city. Those signals will be of latest technology allowing traffic control adaptive to the current traffic situation. All signals to be equipped with detection and CCTV technology and shall be connected to a central control center. The supplier´s tasks concentrate on planning & detailed design of the new signal system (including control room, hard- & software, signal controllers, signal heads, etc.) and all related civil work.

RDA has signed a contract with Dornier to supervise the supplier and to review the work being conducted guaranteeing that the signals will be implemented and operated to RDA´s requirements.
