The objective of this study is to identify the best environmental and economic options which can be adopted for the treatment and recycling of municipal solid waste in order to create and support suitable business opportunities.
The aims of this study are summarized as follows: to encourage the private sector to invest in waste treatment and recycling projects; to minimize the quantities of waste diverted to landfills; to find appropriate environmental treatment solutions and to reduce costs.
