The BildungszentrumBenzbergeducation complex in Markgröningenhouses Hans-GrüningerHigh School, the secondary school, two sports halls and a canteen. The main purpose of the project was to functionally restructure and technically renovate the concrete skeleton structure school buildings erected in the 1970s. An architectural competition based on a VOF procedure (regulation on the awarding of contracts for freelance services) was carried out for the entire project. In order to keep the school business running during the planned, extensive renovation of the buildings in the education complex, a total of four construction phases were scheduled along with a temporary extension of the available space by using container cabins as an interim solution.
