Emissions reduction and environmental protection play an important role in the airport context. The climate impact of air traffic can be reduced through the development of electricity-  and hydrogen-based aircraft concepts. So far, these developments are focused mainly on short-haul aviation concepts, which represents a growth opportunity for regional airports.  Building a sustainable refueling and charging infrastructure is essential for this transition. This project addresses the individual requirements of Bavarian airfields and develops a modular guideline.

• Benchmarking study on electric and hydrogen propulsion including maturity of technologies and entry to market forecasts
• Conducting on-site interviews with selected Bavarian airfields
