Elevator Project in Unterföhring
Overview
In the course of modernization and improvement of accessibility and barrier-free access to the municipal housing complexes at Fichtenstraße1-55, elevator systems were retrospectively installed in seven structurally identical apartment houses. In order to further improve accessibility, the staircases were demolished and rebuilt prior to installation of the elevators. The intermediate landings in the staircase were replaced by new staircases, enabling the tenants to reach their apartments without having to overcome steps or other obstacles. The objectives of the BIM management included the digital mapping and verification of the planning and construction process and the provision of planning data in a central database.
