The Saudi Railways Organization (SRO) is considering the extension of its railway network. Simultaneously, SRO is modernizing its rolling stock. For this purpose, SRO has concluded a contract with Freight Car America (FCA) on the purchase of freight cars.
According to the technical specifications, the railcars are to be compliant with the requirements set out in the latest edition of the standards published by the Association of the Railroads of America (ARR).
