The Governments of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Government of Switzerland and the Government of Azerbaijan agreed to implement and finance the “Open Program Municipal Infrastructure II” (Ganja and Sheki). The Project concerns the reconstruction and extension of the water supply and sewerage systems as well as the wastewater treatment plants of Ganja 430.000 inhabitants, and Sheki 79.000 inhabitants. Size of project area: 316 km².
