During the commissioning of a new combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant in Turkey, massive damage in the form of leaks occurred in a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger tubes concerned are made of the material SF-Cu F25. The material testing laboratory of Dornier Power and Heat, accredited according to ISO 17025, carried out an analysis to clarify the damage and developed guidance for repair.
