Trianel Kohlekraftwerk Lünen GmbH & Co. KG owns a hard coal fired steam generator with an electrical output of 750 MW at the Lünen site. Due to severe corrosion on the inner walls of the steam generator, VPC was commissioned to investigate the root causes. The firing system was evaluated using NIR thermography and the firing at the individual burners and the entire steam generator was optimized. Finally, optimized process operating parameters were derived from the results and provided to the Client for implementation in the steam generator control system. The root causes of corrosion could thus be successfully eliminated.
Services of VPC at a glance
Analysis of the combustion system
Planning, execution and evaluation of investigations to determine the actual state and optimization of the steam generator firing system by means of temporary measuring equipment and stationary measurement systems
Determination of measures for the optimization of the firing parameters
Implementation of optimizationmeasures, followed by test measurements to check results
Creation of parameter curves for implementation of the optimized parameters in the I&C system
