In 2008, the German government selected eight model regions for electromobility and provided them with subsidies from the so-called “Economic Stimulus Package 2” in order to promote the development of an infrastructure and the integration of electromobility into everyday life.

Berlin/Potsdam and Hamburg were two of these eight electromobility model regions. Being a partner in both model regions, Vattenfall Europe was a driving force in both model regions and was also responsible for some of the projects. Dornier Consulting supported Vattenfall Europe Innovation GmbH in Berlin and Hamburg in developing an understanding of the topic of mobility and provided support on a technical and organizational level.
