PSPCL is the electricity generating and distributing company of the State Government of Punjab, India. The company owns and operates the Guru Gobind Singh Super Thermal Power Plant (6 X 210 MW, coal-based) located in the district of Rupnagar, Punjab, India.

The company, through its Principal Contractor Instrumentation Limited, entrusted Encotec with the erection, testing & commissioning of I&C systems of a 210 MW unit under a renovation & modernization (R&M) scheme.
