EVH GmbH plans to modernize and expand the combined cycle power plant. VPC has been commissioned as an architect engineer to plan the project. The CCGT plant, which was modernized in 2005 and is now to be reconditioned, comprises two identical gas and steam turbine units (units A and B) with district heat extraction, an electrical output of 47 MW and a district heat output of 55 MW per unit, as well as a district heat storage facility with a storage capacity of 280 MWh. The existing CCGT plant will be extended by a new Unit C with an electrical output of about 50 MW.
VPC supports the project through HOAI phases 1 to 8, from the establishment of planning parameters and design criteria to final acceptance, including detailed design, approval documents, awarding of contracts and site supervision.
