Main objective of the project was to assess the impact of onshore oil production and processing facilities on soil and groundwater quality. Within a study area of 670 km² contaminated areas were identified based on international guideline values. The risk assessment for contaminated groundwater was based on groundwater flow & transport model. A groundwater monitoring plan was implemented for the entire study area.
