Master Plan for Baku International Airport, Azerbaijan
Overview
Heydar Aliyev International Airport is seeking to develop a master plan for the long-term spatial development of the airport area to enable high service levels to be met with increasing demand from all categories of users, account for long-term trends in the aviation sector and ensure compliance with requirements of stakeholders. The project’s objective is to formulate a comprehensive long-term infrastructure strategy for the development of Heydar Aliyev International Airport (i.e. the Master Plan) that addresses long term traffic growth until 2045 and considers various options for the airport development. The master plan development will involve close cooperation with the relevant departments within the airport and variety of key stakeholders, including airlines, ground handling services, Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs), business partners, shareholders, relevant government authorities and, where applicable, investors. These stakeholders are expected to actively participate in the master planning process.
