Munich Airport increased the passenger capacity of the airport and constructed a new satellite terminal, which will be built in two phases. The first phase is completed and increased the capacity by 11 million passengers.

52 new gates with 27 new aircraft positions have be constructed. The expansion program included the satellite terminal, the baggage handling system, PTS, passenger loading bridges and aprons.

The total cost of the Satellite come to 650 Million Euro. The Satellite was completed in April 2016 on time and within the budget. Opening for public was on 27thApril 2016.
