Review of the New East Pier at Geneva Airport
Overview
Geneva Airport is currently experiencing stable growth in air transport operations. To cope with future demand and to maintain good service standards a major airport expansion is required.
Geneva Airport has contracted a consortium of architects to design an expansion of the existing terminal in form of an additional pier, called Aile-EST. A first assessment showed that the project exceeds initial project cost estimates (and budgets) and that the phasing of the project remains critical and bears numerous design and construction risks.
Dornier Consulting was assigned to review the planning phase 32 of the new terminal extension, called Aile-EST.
