As part of the R&D program “Promoting research and development in the field of electromobility” of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), Vattenfall studied the technical possibilities and economic potential of controlled charging and local load management for electric vehicles in fleet applications. This also included the electrification of MB vans in development and production (EMKEP).
