For more than 45 years, GSB in the German federal state of Bavaria has been responsible for the environmentally friendly disposal of industrial waste. Safety and reliability in the daily handling of these substances have the highest priority. As part of an upgrading project, VPC supported the documentation in the following areas:

• Thermal treatment of hazardous waste in two incineration trains by high-temperature incineration at 1,100 °C
• Cleaning of flue gases by scrubbers and filters
• Power generation based on recovery of process heat
