Mobility patterns are not gender-neutral: Women use public transport generally more often than men, but less atnight. There are also gender-related differences regarding the use of cars.In the project “Gender Equality in Transport in Serbia”, Dornier Consulting advises the Serbian Ministry for Construction, Transport and Infrastructure on gender-sensitive transport and urban planning. The project focuses on a representative study on mobility behavior patterns in Serbia and on analyzing the mobility system on gender-relevant barriers of accessibility. Recommendations and action plans will eventually be integrated in the national transport strategy that the ministry aims working out by the end of the year.
