The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has been in policy discussions with Kyrgyz TemirJoluRailway Company (KTJ) and the Kyrgyz Government, DDGM, regarding the restructuring plan for KTJ to be followed by a corporatization process planned for the sector.
KTJ is currently standing before a wide-ranging reform programme, which would include the restructuring of the state railway company. Therefore, a possible holding structure is to be evaluated for the currently state owned railway company KTJ.
