Frankfurt Airport is expanding the existing Lufthansa terminal to the west. This involves creating a new terminal with eight aircraft stands for A380 aircraft and up to sixteen contact stands for A320.

The project includes the construction of a new check-in hall and arrival area. As part of this project a new baggage handling system will be implemented. Part of the Lufthansa base will be demolished and re-erected.

This project will be carried out under normal airport operations.
