Installation of mercury emission measuring systems in the Schwarze Pumpe Power Plant
Overview
The Schwarze PumpePower Plant in the east German region of Lusatia is a lignite-fueled 2 x 800 MW twin-unit plant. To ensure official monitoring of the measured emission values of mercury (Hg), measuring systems were retrofitted on all four flue gas trains. Two redundant compressor units were installed for the supply of compressed air as an auxiliary medium to the measuring systems. The official evaluation of the measured emission values was ensured by integrating these measuring systems into the central emissions monitoring computer of the power plant. Dornier Power and Heat supported this project from the concept phase, through planning, installation and commissioning, and up until handover to the operator of the Schwarze PumpePower Plant.
