Vattenfall operates a combined heat and power (CHP) plant at the Klingenbergsite in Berlin. VPC provided electrical and I&C engineering services for this project, starting from the concept definition phase. We supervised planning, tendering, bid evaluation and implementation of the construction project. Finally, we supported the client during commissioning and checking of the documentation.

The scope of our assignment included the MV and LV switchgear, including the associated protection systems, the replacement of the I&C system and upgrading of the automation system. In addition, the lighting, lightning protection and cable system were upgraded/modernized.
