Dornier developing measures to enhance public transport in the Saalekreis rural district
In rural areas in particular, innovative ways have to be found to ensure that public transport remains attractive despite limited resources. On behalf of TÜV Rheinland, a Dornier Mobility team comprising Helga Jonuschat, Claudia Lorenz und Teresa Steinhof is therefore helping the Saalekreis district optimize its local public transport system. Together with the transport companies, representatives from the district, the mayors and the local citizens, measures are being determined for the model region Weida-Land and Querfurt to ensure public mobility is maintained in rural areas. As well as replanning routes and stops, this also includes aspects like developing new and more flexible means of transport. The intention is to have the new public transport concept completed within the next year.
