Dornier hosts the SGEC online seminar on charging technology paths in China and Germany next Tuesday

Dornier and its partners from the SGEC organise a series of online seminars on Chinese and German approaches on electric mobility. The first session on Tuesday May 17th, 2022 will focus on technology paths for battery electric mobility and charging infrastructure. In Germany, the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure at the NOW GmbH coordinates the roll-out of the charging infrastructure and many companies such as Compleo are delivering solutions for fast charging stations. Battery swapping as alternative has already been discussed some years ago but German car manufacturers did not decide to further follow this technology path. In China, battery swapping is taken serious as an alternative to fast charging for reactivating electric vehicles in a short time. The Tsinghua University is analysing use cases for battery swapping services and companies such as NIO is implementing battery swapping systems and services in various cities and along highways.
