Electrifying: Dornier connects Germany and the Czech Republic
Deutsche Bahn gets things moving – with our help. As a long-standing partner of the Free State of Saxony, our Rail team has already successfully contributed to the electrification of the Reichenbach – Plauen – Hof rail route in the Vogtland region.
The task in hand now is to electrify the stretch between Hof and the Czech border, at the same time expanding it to a double-track line. Things will get underway as soon as Deutsche Bahn, the federal government and the state have finalized the financing of the project. As of 2028, the route will be used by ten freight trains and 25 passenger trains daily.
