German-Uzbek Business Forum: Jointly driving the energy transition

On Wednesday, Boris Westphal, solar expert and managing director of Dornier Suntrace, not only met a high-ranking political and economic delegation from Germany, but also the Uzbek Prime Minister H. E. Abdulla Aripov as well as other ministers to discuss developments in the energy industry. To the approximately 200 people present, the Uzbek government affirmed that it would continue its dynamic growth course in the energy transition. To realize their program, 15 gigawatts of solar and wind power plants are planned by 2030.

As Dornier, we advised the Uzbek Ministry of Energy on the successful tendering of over 500 MW of solar projects, financed by ADB. We are pleased to continuously accompany the energy development in Uzbekistan and thank the AHK Zentralasien / GFCC Central Asia for the invitation to this event.
