Refurbishment of the northern runway is just one of the many measures at Leipzig/Halle Airport that we as Dornier Consulting International (Dornier Group) are accompanying in a project management role alongside Schüßler-Plan, in a partnership that has existed for more than 20 years.
The Central German airport is currently the second largest air cargo hub in Germany and ranks fourth in Europe. Following the record set in 2020, cargo figures at the airport with the code LEJ continued to rise in the double-digit percentage range in the first quarter of 2021.
In order to be able to meet traffic demand in the coming years, Leipzig/Halle Airport has therefore launched an investment program. Our Mobility business line is coordinating these investment measures, which include new aprons, logistics and office buildings, and refurbishment of the existing runway infrastructure.
